Understanding Print Sheets and Print Sizes
Learn how one school-photo print sheet can contain one large print or several smaller prints.
Quick answer: A print sheet is one production sheet arranged with the quantity and size listed in the product name. One sheet may contain one 8×10, two 5×7s, several gift prints, or multiple wallets.
Read both the size and quantity
- An 8×10 product normally provides one 8×10 print.
- A two-5×7 product provides two separate 5×7 prints, usually from the same selected image and background.
- A gift-print sheet may contain multiple smaller prints, such as 3.5×5 or a similar event-specific size.
- A wallet sheet contains the number and style of wallet prints named in the product description.
- A package may include several complete print sheets, not just one copy of each photographed pose.
Why the crop changes by size
Print sizes use different aspect ratios. A portrait that fills an 8×10 may be cropped slightly differently when printed as a 5×7 or wallet. Review each preview and use the crop control when the gallery provides one.
One pose or multiple poses
Most individual print sheets use one selected pose. A package can contain multiple sheets and may allow the same pose on every sheet or different poses on different sheets. The selection screen shows the number of image choices allowed.
Digital files are separate
A physical print sheet does not include a digital file unless the product or package specifically lists a digital download. Likewise, a digital download does not include physical prints unless they are named in the package.
