Why a Class Photo or Composite May Arrive Later

Class and composite products may require final rosters, retakes, design approval, and separate production after individual orders.

Quick answer: Class and composite products are often completed after individual portraits because they may depend on final student rosters, retakes, artwork, and school approval.

Why these products take different steps

  • Absent students may need to be photographed on makeup day.
  • Retake images may replace original portraits.
  • Student names, teachers, grade levels, teams, or groups must be confirmed.
  • The final layout and school information must be designed and reviewed.
  • The product may be printed in a separate production batch.

How delivery may work

The class or composite product may be delivered to the school after the individual package, placed in a separate envelope, or included in a later event shipment. A digital individual order does not necessarily change the delivery schedule for the class product.

Before reporting it missing

  1. Review the order confirmation to verify that the class or composite product was included.
  2. Ask whether the school has distributed the later class/composite shipment.
  3. Check with the teacher or office for a separately delivered item.
  4. Contact Van Gogh when the school confirms distribution is complete and your item is still missing.

Important: Do not place a second paid order for the class or composite product until Van Gogh confirms whether the original item is still in production or school distribution.
