Why My Children Are Showing in Separate Carts
Separate carts are expected when student galleries use different event, form, delivery, or fulfillment settings.
Quick answer: The galleries cannot always be combined. Complete each cart separately when the system separates the students, unless you need Van Gogh to review an unexpected fee before ordering.
Common reasons for separate carts
- One student is in a prepay event and another is ordering after viewing photos.
- One event requires additional student information or a custom form.
- The students are connected to different schools, photo programs, or ordering templates.
- The events use different home-shipping, school-delivery, or production settings.
- One order includes a product or service that must be fulfilled separately.
What separate carts change
- Each cart receives its own order number.
- Each cart may have its own shipping, handling, tax, promotion, and delivery method.
- Orders may be produced or delivered at different times.
- A discount or free-shipping threshold from one cart may not apply to another cart.
Before you pay
Review both carts and totals. If the students attend the same school and appear to be in the same event but still produce unexpected duplicate shipping or handling, contact Van Gogh before submitting payment. Customer Support can confirm whether the carts are correctly separated.
Important: Do not move one child’s images into the other child’s package. Packages and image selections remain connected to the student displayed in the product.
